What the heck causes that STITCH in the side?

Causes for that stitch in your side when your run - Fitness Revolution RowlettThat damn stitch just hurts! If you’re reading this then you have had one before and you can understand that you can only fight it for so long before eventually it causes you to slow down or stop before you in agonizing pain just trying to catch your breath.

I see this more common during the summer months when people are attempting to do more HIIT cardio to drop body fat but what ends up halting their running is they begin to get that stitch in their sides. After the person spends a few minutes catching their breath I tend to get the question why does this happen?

Feels a bit defeating trying to get your sexy on when your body is just saying NO lol

Get that sexy leg on!

I’ve decided to do something a bit different for today; I shot a video on the proper way to lunge. Which if anyone knows my training you know I’m a big fan of single leg work… most notably walking lunges!

I will argue that lunging, in some ways, is better than squatting and gives the body a well proportioned leg development. Not to mention I feel that in some ways its has a lot more benefits to everyday real life activities than heavy squatting.

***Now I’m not knocking the squat because I do them in just about every lower body workout!***

Don’t ever use this excuse

I hope that your weekend was well! I did a little bit of State Fair time and let me tell you what an experience! I’m still surprised to see all that food, not to mention those crazy concoctions.. fried butter, buffalo chicken in a flap-jack lol.
Ok I know that its Monday so let me get down to business here…

Don’t ever use this excuse!
Being a trainer I get to really take a deep look at my clients inner workings; what motivates them, what they fear, what they love, their buttons, etc.. I’ve learned more about people psychies that I joke around trainers are also therapist 😉 With that said when ever I get to meet a new person that has an interest in exercise/training/bootcamp (doesn’t matter) one answer that I get that I think is complete b.s. is… “Let me think about it..”

I’m going to ask you this, what is it you need to think about? You’ve been thinking about it for a while now and that’s what brought you in this fitness world. Thinking about losing weight or gaining muscle has not produced the results you want so its time to stop thinking and start doing.
You don’t get fit by thinking… you get fit by doing
Sounds simple right? Well start apply that to everything that your thinking about doing, trust me that act of doing by far is much more mentally rewarding than daydreaming about it.
